Position SummaryChildren's Aid runs a summer day camp in Chappaqua, NY that brings together children from Manhattan, the Bronx, and Westchester. Campers and staff are bused to and from the camp each day. The purpose of this camp is to provide traditional summer camp activities (swimming, arts & crafts, sports, horsemanship, etc.) in the context of relationship building. The children who attend this camp are from different socio-economic, cultural, and racial backgrounds, and range in age from 6-13
The Assistant Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the attendance system and the food count system for the NYS Summer Food Service Program.
Essential Duties- Collect all attendance records in the morning to count breakfast meals served and provide an accurate count of the camp's attendance.
- Assist in any work related to helping the program run smoothly.
- Enforce camp policies and procedures regarding the documenting summer food service meals
- Attend 3 days of training and orientation prior to camp.
- Fulfill job activities not listed here important to the success of the camp.
- Skills in organizing information and data entry.
- Must be able to collaborate with all staff and interact with children.
