Position Summary

The Case Aide in the Enhanced Family Foster Care (EFFC) program plays a key support role within a team prepared to respond to a wide range of child welfare situations—from short‑term placements supporting family reunification to specialized care for children with chronic medical, developmental, or trauma‑related needs. The Case Aide helps ensure continuity of care by supervising and documenting family visits, assisting with service referrals, escorting children and parents to appointments, maintaining case files, and participating in case reviews.

This position reports to the designated Social Work Supervisor in the EFFC program.

Essential Duties
  • Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Work with a dynamic team of professionals in a progressive Enhanced Family Foster Care program.
  • Supervise and document family visits.
  • Assist in handling service referrals for children and families.
  • Escort children and parents to appointments.
  • Complete filing.
  • Attend case reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED minimum requirement—College degree preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
Key Competencies
  • Strong desire to work with children and families.
  • Knowledge of the New York City child welfare system a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; flexible work schedule as needed.
  • Basic computer literacy.
