Position: Social Work Supervisor (SBC)
Location: New York

Salary: $70,000 - $78,000/yr

Position Summary

The Solution Based Casework (SBC) Supervisor will provide supervision for four Case Planners and a Case Aide to ensure best practices and excellent record keeping as required by ACS Child Welfare Prevention Standards. In this capacity, the supervisor also has to ensure compliance with program/agency policies and procedures. The Supervisor will also provide guidance and support to the Case Planners consistent with the model to ensure fidelity and adherence to the model.

Duties
  • Understand and promote the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Provide accountability, child welfare, and administrative supervision for up to four (4) Case Planners and a Case Aide.
  • Become trained and certified in Solution Based Casework (SBC).
  • Screen and assign all new referrals within 10 days.
  • Timely register cases in PROMIS and Connections.
  • Timely complete, review, and approve FASPs, Plan Amendments, and Progress notes.
  • Timely approve case closings.
  • Ensure therapists enter contacts in the PROMIS system in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all families and children are seen every month.
  • Work with the program director to manage compliance with model fidelity.
  • Work with the Director to ensure that utilization meets the performance-based funding requirement of at or above 90%.
  • Provide Child Welfare Supervision to Case Planners to ensure that all children are safe and free of immediate or impending danger or serious harm.
  • Provide weekly supervision consistent with ACS Supervisory Standards.
  • Discuss each case at least twice per month and review all case records at least once per month per ACS Supervisory Standards.
  • Document case discussions and case record reviews monthly in Supervisory Reviews for each case.
  • Provide trauma-informed supervision, weekly coaching, and professional development to Case Planners.
  • Ensure that all required assessments are conducted within the first month of case and at 3 months thereafter.
  • Collaborate with all departments of ACS (including FAP, DCP, OPTA, OPPP, APA, etc.) as needed to ensure the safety needs of children are being addressed.
  • Ensure compliance with all other ACS Prevention Standards, policies, and procedures related to CSEC, Safe Sleep, Domestic Violence, etc.
  • Attend all Family Team Conferences.
  • Ensure staff comply with agency conditions of employment related to attendance, hours of work, and use of sick, personal, vacation time, etc.
  • Ensure staff meet performance standards and comply with agency standards of behavior and code of conduct.
  • Complete performance evaluations and address performance issues in a timely and progressive manner.
  • Ensure staff receive trainings as required by the agency, ACS, and program.
  • Provide trainings to staff (such as CORE) and participate in all monthly leadership meetings.
  • Promote a positive work environment.
  • Ensure staff demonstrate competencies in daily responsibilities, comply with TMHR conditions of employment as delineated in the Employee Handbook, and meet performance and behavior standards of Code of Conduct and Anti-harassment policies.
  • Utilize progressive disciplinary process when indicated.
  • Attend all program related meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree required in Social Work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling (MHC), or an equivalent degree in any NYS license-eligible Mental Health profession. LCSW or equivalent licensing preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with children and families in a child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice setting. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • At least two-year experience practicing as a therapist/Case Planner is preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
