ZI- Live-Out Nanny - Upper East Side, NY

Overview

A busy, HNW family on the Upper East Side is seeking an active, experienced and organised live-out nanny to care for two children, aged 4-years and 5-years. This is a Monday through Friday role, from 7am-7pm daily, although candidates who can offer some flexibility around travel and occasional babysitting would be appreciated. The family is looking for a someone to start as soon as possible.

The family are looking for an enthusiastic, happy, kind and energetic nanny who is organised and flexible. Responsibilities will include:

• All nursery duties relating to the two children
• Meal and snack preparation, focusing on healthy, nutritious food (please note that the little girl is on a strict dairy-free diet and needs daily medication)
• Children's laundry and ironing
• Occasional household errands, including grocery shopping
• Accompanying the children to any appointments
• Preparation for travel- packing, planning and scheduling activities, and general coordination
• Regular travel to locations in Europe, the UK and other international destinations
• Proxy-parenting when the parents travel
• Supporting the children in their current routines
• Encouraging good manners, and respectful, kind behavior
• Some school drop-offs and pick-ups
• Ensuring the physical, emotional and social needs of the children are met, and that the home and their general environment is supportive, happy, and fun.

• The successful candidate should be comfortable in a mostly sole charge role, but also happy to work alongside the parents when they are around
• A second language would be appreciated
• A confident driver would also be preferred, but isn't essential
• The family have a small dog and so candidates must be pet-friendly
• The nanny should also be flexible and open to regular travel with the family, as well as proxy parenting when required
• Organized and professional, while also warm and friendly
• Educated and very focused on childhood development
• Comfortable supporting children with school projects and homework
• Considerate, proactive, full of initiative and with strong communication skills
• Previous experience with similar aged children and in a fully staffed household essential
