Overview
We are looking for motivated and passionate leaders to help guide our staff, support our campers, and ensure a smooth and successful summer program. The ideal candidate loves working with young children, thrives in a fast-paced, fun environment, and brings strong management and communication skills. Leadership team members are essential in setting the tone, maintaining structure, and modeling professionalism throughout the season.

Camp Wiltmeet is a dynamic, youth-centered summer program dedicated to providing safe, memorable, and enriching experiences for children. Our camp blends hands‑on learning, creative exploration, and traditional camp fun. We are looking for motivated and passionate leaders to help guide our staff, support our campers, and ensure a smooth and successful summer program.
Camp Wiltmeet runs out of Lenape Elementary School in New Paltz, NY. Camp runs from June 30-August 14.

- Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate summer camp activities
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
- Communicate effectively with families and coworkers
- Uphold all licensing, health, and safety standards
- Support daily routines including meals and transitions
- MUST be able to work a minimum of 4 weeks during the camp summer
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong management and communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors and participate in active play
- Passionate, reliable, and team-oriented
