Part-Time Nanny in Dumbo, Brooklyn

Monday through Friday from 1:00pm – 6:00pm

Additional hours will be available for date nights, weekends, and school closures, subject to your availability.

• Engaging with the child in age-appropriate activities
• Picking up the child from preschool (in the same building)
• Spot fun things happening nearby (story time, music class, pop-ups) and share ideas
• Meal preparation for the child
• Manage the child’s laundry
• Supporting the child’s overall healthy hygiene
• Reading to the child, going to the parks, library, and engaging in indoor and outdoor play
• Keeping the child’s room and the shared spaces in the home clean and tidy

• Genuinely passionate about working with children and supporting their cognitive, physical, and emotional development
• Energetic and engaging; promotes play-based learning
• Clear, open communicator with parents and collaborators
• Reliable and punctual
• Highly attentive; prioritizes the child’s safety and well-being
• Seeking a long-term position and a meaningful partnership with a family
• Experience with multiple families in long-term roles
• Dog friendly – the family has a mini dachshund

1:00 – 2:00pm:
Children’s laundry, meal prep, and organization of the child’s belongings
2:00 – 6:00pm: pick up from school, after school activities, playtime, serve snacks and dinner, tidy the child’s room and main spaces

• 3+ years of relevant nanny experience
• Experience with school-aged children
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S
• 2–3 strong, relevant references
• Fully Vaccinated (or willing to get boosted)
• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to get it renewed)
• Strong communication skills
• Dog friendly
• Local to Dumbo

$40.00 per hour

• Vacation: 5 paid vacation days
• Paid Federal Holidays that fall on a regularly scheduled work day
• Sick Days: 3 per year
