A family of four, on the Upper West Side, needs to hire an experienced Live‑In Housekeeper/Household Assistant to help maintain their home and provide daily support to a hands‑on stay‑at‑home parent.

Responsibilities include:

general housekeeping and upkeep
family laundry and linens
changing beds
household organization
emptying/loading the dishwasher
light pet care for a small friendly dog
very simple meal preparation as needed

There is a part‑time cleaner in the home who handles much of the deep cleaning. The role will also include very light childcare assistance, particularly during the morning and afternoon transitions. The ideal candidate acts as a reliable right hand to a busy household. Candidates should be happy working collaboratively with an involved parent and comfortable moving between housekeeping, household support, light childcare, simple cooking, and pet care as needed.

Family guaranteed a 40 hour workweek and a typical day will begin around 6:30 a.m. with approximately one hour of morning assistance, followed by a few hours of household responsibilities during the day, and an afternoon/evening shift generally from approximately 3-8pm. Afternoon duties may include:

assisting with a school pickup
preparing a simple meal
ensuring the household is organized and running smoothly

The family is flexible regarding the exact schedule and could accommodate either Monday–Friday (with occasional weekends) or Tuesday–Saturday. When weekend coverage is needed, an alternate day off can be provided. They are open to someone who prefers to live in seven days per week, someone who goes home on weekends when not working, or local candidates who are simply able to live in two to three nights per week.

A private bedroom and bathroom on a separate floor are provided.

Salary $45/hr. with health insurance contribution and OMNY card. Immediate start.
