! This position is responsible for coordinating all site construction activities: maintaining quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, administering good construction safety practices, and completing the project on schedule and within budget.
- Assist the General Superintendent in developing, updating, and maintaining the project schedule, including master, 60‑day look‑ahead, and two‑week look‑ahead schedules.
- Ensure continuous implementation of corporate safety program requirements on the project.
- Assist in tracking material delivery dates and communicate that information to the project superintendent for preparation of contract items lists and shop drawing schedules.
- Attend weekly foreman and superintendent meetings.
- Prepare daily construction reports in a thorough and timely manner.
- Manage risk controls and document control to ensure work is installed per the latest design documentation and approved shop drawings.
- Communicate any issues requiring additional information from designers in a timely fashion to the project manager for issuance of RFIs.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly status report to be submitted to the client.
- Assure required permits and approvals from jurisdictional agencies are secured, posted, and renewed as required before starting work.
- Work with the project manager to identify and address issues of constructability or lack of scope during the pre‑construction phase.
- Participate in the development and final review of scope, buy‑out, and schedule.
- Research and address any owner, landlord, city/state requirement or procedure to avoid project delays, ensure safety, and/or ensure client satisfaction.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
- Oversee all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction progress, quality control, and a clean site.
- Maintain a positive relationship with subcontractors and vendors, handling all subcontractor interactions professionally and fairly.
- Maintain and review the punch list process to ensure all items are addressed and executed promptly.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements/jurisdiction, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, engineering drawings, and other required documents.
- NYC Buildings Construction Superintendent License is a plus.
- 10‑Hour OSHA and 30‑Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certificate.
- 4‑Hour Supported Scaffold User Certificate.
- Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Timberline.
- To the extent this position is performed in New York City, the annual salary range for this role is $100,000 – $200,000.

The compensation range and the description are for ALL levels of Superintendents.
