Position: Special Inspector - NY

Reports to: Project Manager

• Ability to communicate as a valued team member with colleagues and clients of all levels.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to provide inspection reports in a timely manner.
• Reliable means of transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications.
• Work well with a team and individually.
• Familiarity with Construction industry codes.
• Responsive to Client and other KSE Manager needs, and all other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements: High School Degree or Equivalent. Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience inspecting construction work in NYC, or equivalent. Familiarity with Chapter 17 of the NYC Building Code.

Professional Licenses/Registrations: Must hold a valid certificate in one or more of the following, with preference for multiple certifications:

• Fall Protection, Scaffolding and ladders, work-zone safety, and a minimum of 10-hour OSHA Construction safety.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI) or AWS Certified Associate Welding Inspector (AWS-CAWI)
• ACI-1 – Concrete Construction Special Inspector (ACI-CCSI) or Associate Concrete Construction Special Inspector (ACI-ACCSI)
• ICC Concrete Special Inspector (ICC-CSI) or other ICC certifications listed
• ICC Commercial Mechanical
• ICC Pre-stressed Concrete Special Inspector
• ICC Spray Applied Fire Proofing Special Inspector
• ICC Soils Special Inspector

Professional Development: Willing to pursue professional development, training, and licensing.
