Specializing in building and fire code consulting, Code Green Fire’s expertise extends to performance-based design, fire alarm services, resiliency, emergency preparedness, and solutions for battery storage and electric vehicle (EV) charging.

We provide comprehensive guidance and services to enhance safety, compliance, and preparedness in diverse built environments.

We’re looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Consultant to join our growing team. This role will serve as a trusted advisor and consultant to our clients in their fire safety planning. We’re looking for someone comfortable in the field, directly interacting with clients and their subcontractors, and who is able to balance technical expertise with interpersonal skills to deliver a top-tier client experience.

This is a full‑time position located in New York, NY and will require local travel to client sites when you’re not in the Code Green office. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

A Day in the life of Fire Alarm Consultant
  • Perform plan reviews of fire alarm systems, fire department access plans, etc.
  • Conduct fire alarm inspections, witness testing, and walkthroughs and attend FDNY inspections.
  • Prepare inspection reports that are clear and actionable.
  • Prepare and submit FDNY filings.
  • Assist team with project management including communicating with clients and collaborators, ensuring delivery of our scope of work, billing and more.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Assist with preparing proposals
  • Contribute to seminars, blog posts, and marketing collateral
What You Bring To The Code Green Team
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in fire protection engineering and code consulting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism
  • Strong organization skills and a high level of attention‑to‑detail while managing multiple projects
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) and Bluebeam Revu.
