Construction Project Manager | NYCHA and Affordable Housing
Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr
Additional compensation types: Annual Bonus and Sign‑on bonus
This role demands exceptional communication, team collaboration, innovation, and leadership to foster professional growth.
Responsibilities- Lead the project team from Pre‑Construction through Final Close‑Out
- Organize and manage the project to ensure safe, timely, quality, and profitable completion
- Interpret and review designs, architectural drawings, and building specifications for appropriate constructability
- Interface with Client, Architect, Owner Representative, Consultants, Agency & Funding Source Representatives
- Maintain neighbor and community relations
- Maintain thorough understanding of company and Owner Contract agreements and deliverables
- Review and manage subcontracts, bid documents, and proposals
- Write subcontractor scopes of work for all trades
- Verify and approve issuance of change orders and contractor invoices for payment
- Verify and approve all vendor invoices
- Complete all punch list items
- Manage all project documentation
- Control project budget
- Create, maintain and execute the project schedule
- Lead and organize MEP coordination process
- Maintain client satisfaction and alignment to client standards
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient reading of architectural plans and specifications
- Proactive with strong problem‑solving skills
- Professional with all trades, architects, and clients
- Effective issue resolution in a timely manner
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Procore experience preferred
- Experience in construction planning and management: estimating, bidding, purchase orders, subcontracts, scheduling, cost control
- Ability to prepare and submit technical and cost proposals
- Strong people skills with Owner, Financing, and Design teams
- Maintain relationships with Subcontractors and Consultants on and off the job site
- Active participant of the culture
- Minimum 5 years in the construction industry
