LTPlumbingishiringa Chief Estimatortoleadandmodernizeitscommercialplumbingestimatingfunction .Thisisasuccession-planningrolewithmeaningfuloverlapalongsidethecompany’slong-tenured estimator,whowillremainatechnicalresourceandmentor.

Thenew Chief Estimatorwillgraduallyassumedepartmentleadership ,developjuniorestimatingtalent,andholdaseatonLTPlumbing’sleadershipteam.

Therightpersonwilldomorethancompletetakeoffs.

Theywillproactivelypursueopportunities,improvebidvolumeandcompetitiveness,strengthengeneralcontractorrelationships,implementmodernestimatingtools,andcreateamoreconsistentconnectionbetweenestimating,procurement,and operations.

• Leadthecommercialplumbingestimatingfunction,includingdepartmentstrategy,workflow,technology,quality standards,andtalentdevelopment.
• Managethefullbidlifecycle:opportunity identification,bid qualification,planandspecificationreview,takeoffs,pricing,proposal development,submission,follow-up,award,andprojecthandoff.
• Prepareandoverseeaccuratelabor,material,equipment,subcontractor,allowance,alternate,exclusion,andriskestimatesforprojects.
• Maintainahealthymixoflargeranchorbidsandsmallerfillerprojectstosupportbacklogandrevenuegoals.
• Proactivelyidentifyopportunitiesthroughbidboards,generalcontractorrelationships,industry contacts,andmarketactivityratherthanrelyingonlyoninboundinvitations.
• Buildandnurturerelationshipswithgeneralcontractors,suppliers,and partners;attendindustryeventsandfollowupconsistentlyafterbidsaresubmitted.
• Leadbidreviewsandclearlycommunicatescope,assumptions,risks,unusual conditions,andpricingstrategybeforesubmission.
• Createadisciplinedhandoffprocesssooperations,field leadership,andprocurementunderstandtheawardedscope,budget,estimate,andprojectrisks.
• Evaluateandimplementmoderntakeoff,estimating,CRM,automation,andAI-enabledtoolsthatimprovespeed,accuracy,documentation,andbidvolume.

• Atleast8yearsofcommercialplumbingestimatingexperience,withtheabilitytoindependentlymanagecomplexbidsfromreviewthroughsubmission.
• Experienceestimatingcommercialplumbingscopesvaluedat $2millionormore,whileremainingcomfortablewithsmallerprojects.
• Strongknowledgeofplumbingsystems,materials,labor,installation methods,codes,specifications,andconstructionsequencing.
• Experienceacrossmultiplebuildingtypes,ideallyincludingconcretecommercialconstructionandwood-framemultifamilyprojects.
• Experiencebiddingtolargeregionalornationalgeneralcontractorsandnavigatingtheiradministrative,compliance,andproposalrequirements.
• Strong plan-reading,takeoff,scope-development,vendor-pricing,andbid-analysis skills.
• Proficiencywithdigitalestimatingortakeoffplatformssuchas
  
  FastPIPE,Accu Bid,Trimble,Quote Soft,Bluebeam,On-Screen Takeoff,orcomparablesoftware,alongwithstrong
  
  Excel skills.
• Demonstrated leadership,mentoring,communication,and relationship-managementability.
• Aproactive,technology-forward,accountable,and solutions-oriented approach.
  
  Existing Floridaor Southeast GCrelationshipsandfamiliaritywithpiece-rateestimatingarepreferred.
