Creative Video Editor; Paid Social

Salary: $75,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience

Craighill is hiring a Performance Editor / Ads Creative Lead to run our paid social engine and capture the daily creative pulse of our studio.

Craighill is a Brooklyn-based design studio creating enduring, beautiful, and useful objects with a deep commitment to ingenuity, curiosity, and long‑term creative ambition. From our Greenpoint studio, we’ve built one of the largest design‑focused organic social accounts in our category, with more than half a million followers across Instagram, Tik Tok, and You Tube. We’re building an independent company meant to endure for generations — focused on durability in product, culture, and creative integrity.

Over the past year, our organic videos have fueled rapid growth. Our next chapter is building a performance creative machine that honors our design principles while producing high‑volume, high‑quality output. The goal is to reach the people already paying attention — and bring them more fully into our world.

• Edit paid social ads with strong pacing, motion instincts, and narrative clarity
• Produce 10–20 weekly creative assets (70 percent iterations, 30 percent new tests)
• Build structured test matrices across hooks, pacing, framing, overlays, and sound
• Recut and adapt existing assets for platform‑native performance
• Capture and post 1–2 behind‑the‑scenes Stories most days, independently
• Develop BTS captures into Reels as our system matures
• Maintain light, consistent engagement in comments and DMs
• Turn community insights into ads, including comment‑response formats
• Use Premiere, After Effects, and Figma; apply light design and copywriting skills
• Keep assets organized and workflows crisp
• Balance speed, rigor, and Craighill’s design‑forward ethos

• 2–4 years of experience editing short‑form paid social content, ideally with Meta/Tik Tok exposure
• Demonstrated ability to produce high‑volume variations and recuts for active campaigns
• Strong instincts in pacing, rhythm, motion, and narrative clarity
• Experience analyzing early performance signals (thumbstop, hold curves, top‑performing structures)
• Baseline fluency in Premiere, After Effects, and Figma
• Light graphic design and copywriting ability
• Comfortable operating within weekly testing cadences
• Low‑ego, collaborative, energized by in‑person creative work
• Genuine interest in design, craft, and building something enduring
