Senior Multidisciplinary Designer

BaseNYC is expanding and to support our growing team, we are looking for a Senior Multidisciplinary Designer. As a Senior Designer at Base, you will partner with Creative and Digital Directors to conceptualize, create, and oversee the day-to-day delivery of ambitious brand and digital experiences. You’ll stretch across mediums: identity, campaigns, motion, and digital platforms, always grounding your work in strong ideas and meticulous craft.

We are currently searching for full-time candidates. We are working in a hybrid model and expect candidates to join us in the studio at least three days a week (M, W, Th).

• Apply Base’s ‘concept first’ and ‘creatively strategic’ process to branding and digital, translating a brand’s essence into relevant, distinctive, and scalable experiences.
• Lead projects from research and strategy through delivery: websites, apps, brand identities, campaigns, packaging and more.
• Build and evolve design systems that bridge brand storytelling and digital expression.
• Develop prototypes, wireframes, and responsive design systems in Figma; ensure typography, motion, and interaction bring the brand to life.
• Be the design representative in day-to-day client interactions: defend ideas persuasively, build trust, and push thinking.
• Seek and collaborate with best-in-class partners (developers, animators, photographers, filmmakers, writers, etc.) to elevate the work.
• Mentor and guide mid- and junior designers, providing clear feedback and setting a high bar for craft.

• 6+ years creative/studio experience with brand and digital at the core.
• Demonstrated ability to move fluidly between brand identity, campaign, and digital design.
• Mastery of typography and motion; experience creating interactive systems that extend identity work into digital.
• Expert in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud;
  After Effects, 3D, or prototyping/code literacy a plus.
• Strong communicator—able to inspire clients, frame narratives, and lead presentations with clarity.
• Collaborative, proactive, and rigorous; equal parts strategic, creative, and meticulous in craft.
• Restless thinker who challenges conventions and surprises with ideas.
• Culturally engaged and perpetually curious.

Compensation is based on experience, with a starting salary of $100,000+.
