Technical Designer - Women's Activewear

We are looking for a talented Technical Designer to join our growing Technical Design team and support our women’s active wear business. Our ideal candidate should be a team player with a strong knowledge of the active wear market, excellent attention to detail, and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment. This is an opportunity to be on a talented Technical Design team and work on a leading brand in a variety of retailers!

• Partner with Design and Associate TD Manager, and create specs/construction sheets for proto and fit samples utilizing blocks.
• Schedule and lead or support fit sessions, ensuring fit, sizing, construction, and quality are consistently achieved in line with standards.
• Communicate with vendors regarding tech pack questions;
  Provide appropriate recommendations in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate product fit changes in a timely manner to ensure workflow is maintained within related systems.
• Track and manage samples daily, work with Design, and ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain block library for brand in 2D, 3D, or physical samples
• Support the creation of development from initial concepts through pre-production samples.
• Review graded nested patterns for final production approval in 2D, 3D, or physical samples
• Communicate with team leadership and production department when issues are found;
  Ensure clear understanding and communication back to the vendors with solutions and a clear record.

• 3-5 years of experience in Technical Design or related field
• Experience in garment construction, pattern making, fitting, specs, and grading
• Experience with performance apparel is a plus
• Proficient with PLM, Microsoft suite, Adobe
• Experience and/or strong desire to learn 3D CLO Software
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment

Annual salary starting at $85,000
