Job DescriptionJellyfish is hiring a Senior Creative Strategist to lead the connection between brand strategy, cultural insight and performance creative across our client portfolio. You will report to our Senior Content Director and work directly with Content and Creative teams, acting as the lead Creative Strategist on clients across a range of industries. You will own performance creative and copy strategy while shaping creative output across multidisciplinary teams.
Your focus is to develop audience‑first strategies that drive conversion and strengthen brand relevance. Your strategies will celebrate the diversity of our society while delivering impact through industry‑leading creative ideas. Your role is crucial in encouraging representation and inclusivity, ensuring cultural insight is translated into creative work that drives measurable business results and enhances customer experiences. You will be passionate about embracing and connecting with diverse communities through persuasive, data‑driven creative content.
The salary range for this position is between $,000 USD, annually. This is a hybrid position based out of our NYC office.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate curiosity in understanding our client problems and finding a balanced solution with paid, earned and organic approaches
- Apply audience, cultural and behavioural insight to inform strategic decisions and creative direction
- Harness cultural insight across life stages and local contexts to inform strategy, with a deep understanding of diverse audiences, cultures and trends
- Use social listening to steer strategy and planning with a data‑driven approach
- Lead creative strategy for existing clients, from positioning through to creative briefs, messaging matrices and overall campaign direction
- Deliver creative insights and strategic messaging to ongoing clients with a clear vision for growth opportunities
- Act as the lead Creative Strategist on accounts, shaping creative output and ensuring strategic integrity across campaigns
- Work closely with Content, Creative and Brand Strategy teams to ensure work is distinctive and aligned to broader brand goals
- Inspire creative teams with strong jumping‑off points and clear guidance on platform nuances for copy and design execution
- Shape and elevate creative work, pushing for the highest standards and inspiring clients with your expertise
- Build strong relationships with clients and partners, translating complex strategies into clear, compelling and actionable plans
- Work with the ideation team on incoming paid creative campaigns, ensuring big ideas translate effectively across the funnel
- Stay close to platform evolution, cultural shifts and emerging behaviours, bringing insights and hypotheses into your work
- Stay up to date with trends and innovations to inform planning, strategy and creative direction
- Act as a driver of innovation across platforms, shaping narratives that resonate with diverse audiences
- Use AI tools to build robust testing frameworks for ad copy and creative variants, continuously improving performance
- Build partnerships across creative, media and data/market intelligence teams, bridging the gap between media targeting and creative messaging
- 5+ years working with leading brands across home, property, lifestyle and consumer services, in a creative or performance agency environment
