Location: New York

We are seeking a skilled and passionate copywriter with 4-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate is a masterful storyteller who can internalize client objectives and brand guidelines to ensure all copy is consistent in tone, style, and messaging. You will be responsible for creating a wide range of high-quality content that supports our clients' PR and communications strategies, editing ongoing client work, and new business proposals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, writing, and editing a wide variety of long-form and short-form content, including but not limited to:
  • Press releases, media advisories, and media pitches that are newsworthy and compelling.
  • Bylined articles, op-eds, and thought leadership pieces for executive placement.
  • Key messaging documents, talking points, and media briefing materials.
  • Social media content, including posts for Linked In.
  • Award submissions, speeches, and presentation scripts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of professional copywriting experience, with a significant portion spent at a PR agency or in-house communications role.
  • A strong and diverse portfolio showcasing your writing skills across various formats (press releases, bylined articles, and messaging documents are a must).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an impeccable command of grammar and style (AP Style proficiency is highly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and engaging copy for various audiences.
  • Solid understanding of public relations principles and the media landscape.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles as they apply to content.
