The Sleepwear Designer will be responsible for creating innovative, trend‑right, and brand‑appropriate sleepwear collections that resonate with the target consumer. This role involves managing the design process from concept to final product, ensuring designs are both aesthetically compelling and commercially viable. The Designer will collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners including merchandising, product development, and sourcing to bring collections to market on time and in line with business objectives.
Responsibilities- Research and interpret seasonal trends, color, fabrics, and silhouettes relevant to sleepwear.
- Conceptualize and design seasonal assortments, ensuring alignment with brand identity and target consumer.
- Create technical design packages, including detailed sketches, CADs, colorways, and specs.
- Source and select fabrics, trims, and prints suitable for sleepwear, ensuring comfort, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with product development and sourcing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost targets are met.
- Partner with merchants and planners to build balanced assortments that meet aesthetic, margin, and pricing requirements.
- Present design concepts and line updates to leadership and cross‑functional partners.
- Review and approve lab dips, strike‑offs, fabric qualities, and garment samples, ensuring alignment with design vision.
- Maintain awareness of market competitors and industry trends to ensure product differentiation.
- Support fit sessions to provide design intent feedback and ensure product quality.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines within the seasonal calendar.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
- 3–5 years of design experience, ideally with sleepwear, intimates, or loungewear.
- Strong understanding of fabrics, especially knits, wovens, and specialty trims used in sleepwear.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.
- Solid sketching, rendering, and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and technical design processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross‑functional partners.
- Passion for fashion, with a keen eye for trend and detail.

New York Pay Rate$67,000.00 - $90,000.00.
