Editor-in-Chief

Overview

(NYC/Hybrid) Financial magazine searching for a new Editor-in-Chief. The role is responsible for shaping the editorial vision and maintaining the journalistic excellence of the magazine and its digital platform. The EIC combines strategic leadership with hands-on editorial management to deliver engaging content for a global audience of corporate finance professionals. The EIC will collaborate closely with the editorial, freelance contributors, and sales to ensure the magazine remains the premier source of insight and analysis in international finance.

• Develop and execute an annual editorial plan
• Oversee print and digital editorial calendars
• Monitor trends to identify emerging topics and opportunities.
• Commission, assign, and edit articles, features, and multimedia content for the website and magazine.
• Ensure publication’s high editorial standards with rigorous fact-checking and accuracy.
• Write occasional feature stories, editorials and columns.
• Drive online traffic and engagement with SEO best practices, social media, and newsletters.
• Collaborate with the digital team to integrate video, podcasts, and interactive data features.
• Lead and mentor the editorial staff and freelance network
• Manage budgets for contributors, photography, and production.

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, economics, finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in financial journalism or business media, including a minimum 5 years in a senior editorial role.
• Deep understanding of international finance, corporate banking, and capital markets.
• Proven track record of managing editorial teams and freelance contributors.
