Freelance Technical Designer

We are looking for a Freelance Technical Designer for a womens lifestyle brand. Experience in womens intimates, bras, panties, shapewear and/or swim is a plus. This is a freelance position and operates 5 days onsite in their NYC office.

• Executes the technical design process from development to final fit.
• Analyzes and evaluates garments to develop the correct fit specifications.
• Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost specifications.
• Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors / factories for approvals and corrections.
• Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure the integrity of design-approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price.

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience.
• 5-8+ years experience in technical design.
• Excellent problem solver.
• Ability to maintain composure in a stressful situation.
