Associate Photographer – Albany/Schenectady/Troy Overview

CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP) is a leading global provider of commercial and residential real‑estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces. In line with its mission to digitize the real‑estate industry, the company seeks an Associate Photographer to serve  and  clients. The role involves capturing 3‑D virtual tours, floor plans, and marketing photography of residential properties within a defined territory. Equipped with a Pro‑3 Matterport system, a digital camera, and an iPad, the Associate Photographer will deliver high‑quality media for marketing and inventory purposes while upholding CoStar’s safety standards and professional image.

Responsibilities
  • Support marketing efforts on  and  by capturing 3‑D virtual tours, foot‑prints, and residential photography.
  • Create a portfolio of photographs that best showcase homes and apartments.
  • Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demand.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, sales associates, research partners, and management to prioritize tasks and initiatives.
  • Own the market by navigating one‑mile square grids to ensure commercial real‑estate data coverage, identifying new inventory, and photographing vacant properties.
  • Abide by CoStar safety standards to protect company vehicles and equipment.
  • Represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times.
  • Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of professional photography experience, preferably in real‑estate.
  • Experience as a professional photographer or a degree in photography.
  • Drone photography skills with a FAA Part 107 license, obtained within 30 days of offer.
  • Strong time‑management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately capture and enter photo‑related data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and internet applications.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Field experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s record; a driving record check is required prior to start.
Physical Requirements
  • Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing, and walking for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds.
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements to type on a tablet or laptop and operate camera equipment.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying necessary to perform job functions.
  • Ability to work and drive outdoors in all seasons.
  • Availability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.
Compensation

The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus‑eligible. The base hourly wage is equivalent to an annual salary of $49,000‑$50,000, based on relevant skills and experience, with performance‑based bonuses paid monthly.
