The Role
** The
** Digital Content Specialist
** will be an integral part of the Global Editorial & Digital Channels team within Corporate Communications, providing a wide range of support including writing, editing and publishing content across the company’s various digital channels. The role will work closely with the Global Managing Editor in writing and editing content that showcases AIG’s Purpose and Values and commitment to a Learn-It-All culture.

The role will also align closely with the team on digital and creative aspects and will contribute to creating content for the intranet, social media,  and other channels. This is an excellent opportunity to join a world-class communications team and exercise a variety of different skills from editing and storytelling to digital content creation and publication.
** Key Responsibilities*
* * Provide writing and editing support for the global Corporate Communications team to highlight AIG’s business wins and key company initiatives
* Edit Human Resources, Cybersecurity/IT, and other timely and impactful content for an internal colleague audience and external where relevant
* Create, preview and publish content across a variety of channels, including the intranet, email, digital signage, social media and
* Bring fresh perspectives and innovative thinking to propose new approaches to content
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders  
** Qualifications*
* * Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field preferred
* 3+years of professional experience in a corporate communications writing role, ideally in insurance, financial services or other highly regulated industry
* Impeccable attention to detail, advanced proofreading skills, and ability to ensure that all content is of high quality and error free
* Comfortable working with Content Management Systems and other digital publishing tools; experience with social media a plus
* Enthusiastic, high-energy, creative self-starter with a “can do” approach, and the ability to problem solve and meet deadlines
* Excellent multi-tasking, project management, analytical and organizational skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels, and with a geographically distributed workforce
* Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment, with high standards for quality and accountability For positions based in NYC, the base salary range is $85,000 to $100,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
