Adaptive is looking for a Visual Designer to join our Content Team
, shaping the look and feel of our security awareness training. You’ll help us bring complex cybersecurity concepts to life through clean, engaging visuals that make learning stick.

This is a product-facing role: you will design 3d art, infographics, layouts, and motion elements inside our training module and newsletters. It’s a great fit for a designer who wants to specialize in learning and product design, while collaborating with product managers, product designers, and engineers.

This role will start as a contractor role, with potential to transition into a full-time opportunity based on performance and business need.

• Design training visuals:
  Create 3d art, icons, gifs, and layouts that make complex security topics clear and engaging.
• Elevate learning experiences:
  Translate written scripts into compelling visual narratives inside our training platform.
• Support consistency:
  Apply Adaptive’s design system and content style guidelines across modules and keep assets organized.
• Collaborate with content creators:
  Work closely with product managers and product designers to ensure visuals enhance learning, not just decorate it.
• Experiment with motion/animation:
  Use lightweight motion to bring key learning moments to life.
• Contribute to accessibility:
  Design with diverse learners in mind, ensuring clarity, readability, and accessibility in all visuals.

• Early-to-mid career designer (2–5 years relevant experience): you have a portfolio showing strong fundamentals in layout and digital design.
• Proficient in Figma (or similar): you're eager to grow skills in component libraries, grids, and scalable content design.
• Detail-obsessed: you sweat type, spacing, and visual clarity.
• Collaborative: you enjoy feedback, iteration, and working across functions.
• Adaptive: comfortable creating everything from module layouts to infographics to iconography.
• Bonus: experience with motion design tools (After Effects, Lottie, Rive) or in e-learning/educational design.
