Senior Designer - Girls Licensed Apparel

We are a leading children's sportswear company specializing in licensed and private label apparel, working with ALL major retailers across the USA.

Salary Range: 100k – 110k

• Develop girls' and tween licensed apparel, ensuring design innovation and trend alignment.
• Oversee associate designers and collaborate with graphic designers on seasonal projects.
• Organize and track project timelines to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with Sales to plan and strategize for market demands.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and generate new ideas.
• Identify market gaps and create trend-driven designs for the target audience.
• Partner with the licensing team to select key licenses for each season.
• Obtain licensor approvals before production.
• Lead fittings and coordinate with product development and technical teams.
• Work with the costing team to ensure designs are budget-friendly.
• Review technical packs for sampling and production accuracy.
• Approve lab dips, strike-offs, and fabric qualities to meet quality standards.

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Designer.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; strong sketching skills.
• Experience designing kids' apparel is required.
• Licensed apparel experience (e.g., Disney, Nickelodeon) is preferred.
• Must be based in NYC or willing to relocate, as this is an on-site role.
