Mode Search are proud to be partnering with a high-growth luxury womenswear brand in their search for a Designer to support the development of upcoming collections.
Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO – a celebrated creative leader with a track record of building globally recognised fashion businesses – this role offers the opportunity to join a fast-growing, creatively led environment. The Designer will play an integral role in evolving the brand’s ready-to-wear offering, focusing on the refinement and reinterpretation of core wardrobe pieces that define the house aesthetic.
This is a New York–based position.
The Role- Design and develop key wardrobe categories within the women’s ready-to-wear collections, focusing on tops and daily wear styles that embody the brand’s refined aesthetic
- Reinterpret signature silhouettes and update recurring collection styles to maintain the brand’s consistent visual language
- Support the Founder in developing and expanding the evergreen line, ensuring quality, fit, and design excellence across all styles
- Conduct research into vintage references, cultural moments, and contemporary design to inspire subtle evolution in core product lines
- Collaborate with the product development and technical design teams to ensure accurate execution and luxury-level finishing
- Participate in fittings and design reviews, maintaining creative integrity while meeting production and commercial timelines
- Work cross-functionally with merchandising and production to ensure cohesive seasonal range balance
- 4–6 years’ experience in luxury or premium womenswear design, ideally with exposure to ready-to-wear categories
- Strong design portfolio showcasing refined silhouettes, attention to proportion, and an understanding of modern wardrobe essentials
- Solid technical knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and finishing techniques
- Experience collaborating closely with development and production teams
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative team player with a modern, creative eye and appreciation for understated luxury
