Position SummaryThe Designer, Dresses is responsible for designing seasonal collections aligned with brand aesthetic and customer needs, with a focus on Day, Career, and Day‑to‑Evening silhouettes. This role requires strong creative vision, fabric and print knowledge, and the ability to build cohesive assortments across multiple deliveries. The Designer partners cross‑functionally to ensure designs meet merchandising, margin, and production objectives.
Responsibilities- Research current trends and forecast evolution on said trends within our brand identity
- Apply findings from research (including blog, magazine, store, street‑style, vintage exploration) to a seasonally relevant, cohesive collection that is well balanced in fabrication and thoroughly merchandised
- Communicate seasonal concept/design intent to factories—request preliminary treatments & mock‑ups
- Generate tech‑packs with clear silhouette, garment construction, and trim information to overseas factories
- Receive prototype, fit and communicate adjustments to overseas factories via photographs, spec notes, and diagram sketches
- Evaluate collection standing and sketch & refabricate to support seasonal objectives within line plan/SKU count
- Exaggerate visual cues to reinforce concept & transcribe amplified garments to runway program with stylist
- Support Collection to Production
- Aid Merchandising Team and Senior Vice President of Design during department introduction to new season
- Follow garment to production with Production Managers—ensuring correct development & color allocation applied to each body
- Field Merchandising Requests
- Must have high‑end background with an extensive knowledge of Dresses
- Over 10 years of industry experience including retail, wholesale, pattern drafting & draping, print design
- Candidate Requirements: CV/Resume AND Work Samples (Portfolio URL) required for initial consideration

$120,000–$190,000 per year
