The design-led, human-centered creative commerce agency.
Driver Digital is a New York-based creative digital agency and Shopify Plus Partner focused on user experience, design, and engineering within the ecommerce ecosystem. We work with founder-led direct-to-consumer brands across fashion and apparel, beauty, fine jewelry, and lifestyle that view design and technology as strategic advantages.
We bring digital harmony across brand, user experience, and engineering - creating connected, converting and performant online experiences.
Our clients prioritize elevated digital design, cohesive brand expression, and long-term relationships. They value quality, consistency, and senior-led teams that can navigate complexity with confidence.
We're a small team with an outsized impact. We do the kind of complex, high-stakes work typically reserved for much larger agencies. We make this possible by being obsessive about process efficiency without sacrificing craft. Each of us is a force-multiplier.
About The Role:
Driver Digital is seeking a Senior User Experience Designer, capable of owning the design process —from client brief and data ingestion through to high-fidelity visual design. You will partner with leadership to define and operationalize a consistent, repeatable methodology that turns a client's goals into elegant, high-converting Shopify experiences.
You'll build and run the design process itself on assigned projects; the activities, exercises, and checkpoints that move a project from discovery to polished UI. You'll translate briefs and data into a clear plan, then execute it—wire framing, prototyping in Figma, and partnering with The Head of Design in delivering high-fidelity Figma files.
You'll conduct research and design and run tests to make data-informed decisions about how our clients' sites are structured and optimized to lift conversion—spanning the full architecture, from navigation and taxonomy at the top down to the details that matter most on the PDP: content strategy and call-to-action hierarchy.
And you'll partner across design, strategy, engineering, and account teams to ensure design intent is understood, feasible, and shipped with fidelity.
The position is full-time and fully-remote. The role may require quarterly travel to NYC or client locations as required.
- Communication. Exceptional, clear, consistent communication across every channel—verbal, email, Slack, and PM tools—with reliable follow-ups and status reports.
- Accountability. Take full ownership of your work: your successes and your opportunities for improvement alike.
- Reliability. Meet deadlines, and give advance notice when additional time or support is needed.
- Urgency. Move with a strong, purposeful sense of pace.
- Balance. An artful balance of thoroughness and detail with efficiency and agility.
- Craft & sensibility. A rigorous, data-based approach to design decisions, paired with a sophisticated visual sensibility.
- Spirit. Kind, collaborative, and energetic.
- Own the end-to-end design process—from discovery and information architecture through wire framing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI.
- Develop user-centric commerce experiences for D2C brands in fashion, beauty, fine jewelry, and lifestyle.
- Conduct UX/UI audits and translate findings into actionable, prioritized design improvements.
- Conduct research, and design and manage appropriate testing strategies, to produce the data needed to inform design and UX decisions and site conversion and performance targets.
- Architect site structure—navigation, taxonomy, collection and product templates—to lift conversion and clarity.
- Elevate key pages and e-commerce experiences through deliberate content strategy and call-to-action hierarchy.
- Create and evolve design systems…
