Graphic Design; Events) Fellow

We're looking for an emerging designer to create event marketing assets across Instagram, Linked In, Tik Tok, and our newsletter. Over three months you'll work alongside our events team, receive direction from our Brand Lead, and leave with real campaign work in your portfolio.

HuCapital is an AI-powered community platform built for entrepreneurial creatives and professionals across the New York Metropolitan area. Powered by our AI superconnector Huey, we curate 1:1, peer group, and prompted matches designed to transform online connections into IRL collaborations.

AI has fundamentally changed the way we work, and the most innovative projects and businesses of our time will be built by people who know how to use it together. We curate popular IRL experiences, including our HuLane Traffic Light Mixer, Winning Women Conference, HuCapital Innovation Week, and more, each attracting 200 to 600 professionals and founders across various industries.

The Graphic Design, Events Fellow is an opportunity for a designer who wants real-world experience working on a brand that shows up across social media, live events, and a growing digital platform. Over the course of three months, you will produce graphic design work that directly supports HuCapital's event marketing, receive hands-on direction from our Head of Events and Brand Lead, and learn from our events team as they plan and execute experiences across New York City.

You will leave with a stronger portfolio, practical production experience, and a clear sense of what it looks like to design for a community-driven brand at an exciting stage of growth.

• Design Event Marketing Assets:
  Create flyers, promotional graphics, countdown content, and post-event visuals that support HuCapital events across Instagram, Linked In, Tik Tok, and our newsletter.
• Produce Social Content:
  Develop platform-native graphics and visual content tailored to the format and audience of each channel.
• Support Newsletter Design:
  Assist with visual assets and layout elements for HuCapital's newsletter communications.
• Incorporate Feedback and Iterate:
  Receive direction from the Brand Lead and revise work based on internal feedback, brand guidelines, and evolving creative priorities.
• Learn from the Events Team:
  Shadow and collaborate with the events team to understand how events are built, marketed, and experienced, and apply that context to your design work.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree, bootcamp, or self-directed study in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
• A portfolio that demonstrates design range, brand consistency, and an eye for visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), or Figma.
• Strong sense of typography, layout, color, and how design translates across platforms.
• Comfortable working remotely, independently, and delivering under a deadline.
• Collaborative, communicative, and open to direction and critique.
• Bonus:
  You have an interest in community, events, or brand work at early-stage companies.

Because we are at the beginning, our current compensation model is stipend and profit-sharing based, reflecting where we are in our growth journey. As we hit our milestones and the platform scales, our goal is to move toward structured contracted compensation that matches the value our team brings.
