Luxury Couture Fashion House Seeks Studio/Production Coordinator
Randi Rahm Atelier is a New York-based luxury couture fashion house specializing in handcrafted, one-of-a-kind evening wear, bridal, red-carpet, and custom designs. Our garments are designed and produced directly in our NYC atelier and are known for exceptional craftsmanship, intricate embellishment, and a highly personalized couture experience.
We are seeking an experienced Studio/Production Coordinator to join our atelier and play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the fashion house. This is a hands-on position for someone with a strong background in fashion, garment production, or a luxury fashion environment who understands the pace, precision, and attention to detail required in couture.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable wearing many hats in a small, creative fashion house. This role works closely with the designer and studio team across production, client relations, sourcing, social media, PR, and studio operations.
Key Responsibilities- Production & Atelier Operations:
Coordinate garments from development through completion, track production timelines, maintain sewing hours and costing sheets, and help ensure quality and deadlines are met. - Couture & Design Development:
Work closely with the designer on garment development, including embroidery and beading layouts, and coordinate with outside artisans and vendors. - Materials & Sourcing:
Source fabrics, trims, and other materials while maintaining relationships and communications with vendors and suppliers. - Client
Experience:
Coordinate fittings, scheduling, communications, and follow-up while maintaining the elevated level of service expected within a luxury couture house. - PR, Social Media & Brand Development:
Manage day-to-day social media activity and assist with content planning, while coordinating PR collaborations and communications with stylists, media, and other fashion industry contacts. - Orders & Administration:
Manage sales and purchase orders, production records, vendor information, files, and other essential studio documentation. - Intern Leadership:
Organize and oversee a team of interns, including schedules, assignments, projects, and day-to-day guidance. - Studio Management:
Maintain an organized, efficient atelier and provide hands-on support across the various functions of the fashion house as needed.
- 5+ years of professional experience in fashion, garment production, or a related fashion industry role.
- Previous experience working within a luxury fashion house, couture atelier, designer studio, or high-end apparel environment strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, fabrics, trims, and fashion production.
- Experience with production coordination, costing, purchase orders, sourcing, and vendor management.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a polished and professional approach to client and industry relationships.
- Experience managing social media and representing a luxury brand online.
- Leadership experience, including supervising or managing interns or junior team members.
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Comfortable receiving feedback, adapting quickly, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced atelier environment.
- A genuine passion for luxury fashion, couture, craftsmanship, and the creative process.
Compensation:
Starting salary $70k - salary dependent on experience
