CBS Saturday Morning is seeking a Broadcast Associate/Anchor Assistant! This entry‑level position plays a vital role in supporting our on‑air talent and production teams in a dynamic, fast‑moving newsroom. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and thrives under deadlines while maintaining professionalism and discretion. The role calls for energy, curiosity, and a can‑do attitude — along with the flexibility to work early mornings, long hours, holidays, and travel at a moment’s notice when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily administrative and logistical support to on‑air talent, including managing calendars, schedules, travel arrangements, and on‑the‑road coordination
  • Prepare briefing materials and script packets for morning broadcasts
  • Assist during the live show with script running and production support
  • Screen and organize viewer correspondence and follow up as needed
  • Support news desk operations, including research, fact checking, and assistance during breaking news and special reports
  • Help gather story elements, research feature pieces, develop story pitches, and log material with producers
  • Attend editorial meetings
  • Maintain discretion, professionalism, and flexibility in a dynamic, deadline‑driven environment
Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent work experience on a news broadcast
  • Demonstrated interest in news and current events
  • Top‑notch written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Discretion and professionalism in protecting the privacy of on‑air talent
  • Forward‑thinking and dependable, with the ability to manage extensive travel and shifting priorities
  • Willingness to work early mornings, flexible hours (including overnights), holidays, and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive
Additional Information

Hiring Salary Range: $44,900 - 51,500. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
