Fashion Designer – Men's Apparel

Salary: $65,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience

Navy Yard Clothing Company is a growing New York-based apparel design and manufacturing company specializing in contemporary men's fashion. We work with major U.S. retailers, developing trend-driven, commercial apparel with strong design and production capabilities.

We are looking for a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Men's Fashion Designer with strong graphic design skills to join our team.

• Research fashion trends and develop new men's apparel collections.
• Create original designs, graphics, prints, patterns, and artwork.
• Develop CADs, detailed tech packs, and production-ready designs.
• Work with various fabrics, washes, textures, and garment constructions.
• Collaborate with the sales and production teams throughout the development process.
• Review samples, fittings, and revisions to ensure design accuracy.
• Develop commercially appealing styles based on customer needs and market trends.
• Manage multiple projects and meet development deadlines.

• 3+ years of experience in men's apparel design preferred.
• Strong graphic design skills are essential, including the ability to create original artwork, prints, patterns, and placement graphics.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop required.
• Strong CAD and tech pack development skills.
• Experience in men's sportswear, streetwear, and contemporary casual wear.
• Good understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and fit.
• Experience working with overseas manufacturers preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Creative mindset with a strong understanding of commercial fashion.
