We’re searching for a passionate and dependable leader who excels in technical production, team development, and behind-the-scenes execution. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who thrives in high-pressure environments, solves problems quickly, and brings calm, confidence, and clarity to fast-paced situations.

• Are highly skilled in AVL systems, including live streaming, lighting, audio mixing, and video switching
• Can confidently mix a live worship band (both in-room and streamed)
• Enjoy leading and developing volunteers with clarity and encouragement
• Thrive in managing logistics, gear, and systems—especially in a portable church setting
• Value collaboration and can work across teams with clear communication

The Tech Director ensures that all technical aspects of Crossline’s Sunday services and ministry events are executed with excellence. This role oversees production systems, livestream, and a volunteer team. This position is critical in helping Crossline maintain a distraction-free, on-brand experience for both in-person and online services.

• Sunday services run smoothly and reflect the heart and excellence of Crossline
• Volunteers are empowered, supported, and thriving in their roles
• Equipment is maintained, organized, and functioning properly
• Technical systems support the spiritual formation of our church family

• Lead and support teams in executing audio, visual, lighting, livestream, and on-stage technical needs
• Operate production systems as needed (Pro Presenter, audio consoles, video switchers, microphones, cameras, etc.)
• Lead pre-service setup and sound checks
• Troubleshoot issues quickly and calmly under time pressure
• Ensure all tech systems are safely powered, set up correctly, and functioning properly
• Recruit, train, and schedule the volunteer tech team
• Empower volunteers with hands-on coaching and clear documentation
• Build a strong, encouraging team culture
• Provide consistent feedback, gratitude, and appreciation
• Work with the Creative Director to plan services and events
• Collaborate with ministry leaders to meet AV/tech needs
• Manage team schedules, setup plans, and logistics
• Anticipate needs and proactively communicate with key leaders

• 2+ years of experience in church production, live event tech, or equivalent (
  required
  )
• Experience leading volunteers in a ministry or nonprofit setting (
  preferred
  )
• Familiarity with portable church logistics or non-permanent venues (a plus
  )
• Technical certifications or training in audio/video production (
  preferred, not required
  )

• Strong knowledge of AVL systems: audio, video, lighting, live streaming, networking, Dante, etc.
