An impactful documentary feature exploring the unique culture and challenges of competitive urban cycling in Brooklyn needs a dedicated Assistant Editor to join our post-production team. This project delves into the underground world of bike messenger races and the personal stories of riders, offering a gritty, energetic, and visually compelling narrative. Key responsibilities include organizing and syncing footage, creating dailies, managing media, handling archival material, preparing sequences for editor review, and assisting with sound design and music cues.
You will also be responsible for exports and general post-production workflow support. We're looking for someone proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, with a strong understanding of documentary workflows and media management best practices. Previous experience as an Assistant Editor on a documentary or narrative project is required. A reel demonstrating organizational skills or prior editing work, even on short-form content, is a plus.
This is an entry-level, paid position, offering $150-300 per day based on experience. The role is based in Brooklyn, NY, and will involve approximately 3-4 weeks of work, primarily in November 2026, with potential for extension. A workstation with software will be provided.
