Job Overview
AEG is seeking a Guest Services Event Staff for the Bowery Presents | Under the K Bridge. The company has played a pivotal role in transforming sports and live entertainment for over 20 years, hosting more than 160 million guests annually.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, checking IDs, scanning tickets, and assisting guests with directional and informational inquiries.
Responsibilities- Check IDs of individuals attending the event.
- Organize and distribute 21+ and VIP wristbands.
- Be familiar with state and federal laws surrounding valid forms of entry and alcohol purchases.
- Report any activities or behaviors that conflict with facility/event policy or code of conduct.
- Assist guests with directional and informational inquiries.
- Communicate in a professional manner with other building staff, guests, and supervisors.
- Work to effectively accommodate guests with disabilities, while complying with facility/event ADA requirements.
- High School Diploma or its equivalency.
- A minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exemplify a strong commitment and willingness to provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound judgment; able to make sound decisions.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Work closely with Operations team and Box Office staff to resolve ticketing issues.
- Assist Management with Event Notes, Credential Sheets, and as needed.
- Perform Walk-Throughs of the venue prior to opening doors to the public.
- Act as a liaison between Management, Supervisors, and Staff.
- Assist guests with information/problem-solving and exceptional Customer Service.
- Coordinate Guest Services Staff for pre-event and post-event activities.
- High School Diploma or its equivalency.
- 2-4 years of related work experience.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and recognize problems and solutions.
- Demonstrated skills working with fellow staff members.
- Ability to work long, irregular hours for an extended period.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English.
Pay Scale: $18.75 (Guest Services Event Staff) or $17.19 (Guest Services Coordinator).
Part-time position with potential benefits (ACA qualification).
