Customer Account Specialist (Manufacturing)
Location:
New York, NY
Base pay: $24.00/hr - $26.00/hr

- Prepare bills of lading.
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
- Communicate with customers through various channels.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Process orders accurately and coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients regarding product specifications, order status, and any changes or updates.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints.
- Process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and timelines.
- Validate bills of lading to ensure proper shipment documentation.
- Coordinate with the traffic department to confirm logistics and resolve transportation issues.
- Partner with buyers and sales reps to address customer inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date customer files and order records.
- High School Diploma.
- 2+ years of experience in billing, order management, or account support—ideally in food manufacturing or logistics.
- Exceptional attention to detail, especially with financial and shipping documents.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Strong leadership qualities.
