The Storyteller Intern (Atelier) at Loro Piana acts as the Maison's cultural and narrative ambassador in our Atelier space. The role will be the first point of contact for guests and speak to the heritage, craftsmanship, and raw materials that define the Maison, while learning the processes of client prospecting and seamless introductions to Client Advisors.

Job responsibilities
  • Display genuine care, respect, and hospitality to all guests who enter the boutique, ensuring every interaction reflects the values and spirit of Loro Piana through the “Selling Galateo.”
  • Offer warm, friendly, and professional greetings to all clients upon arrival and departure from the Atelier Space and sales floor.
  • Serve as the Maison's storyteller by sharing the heritage, craftsmanship, and exceptional raw materials that define Loro Piana, creating meaningful and memorable moments for clients.
  • Ownership of client “prospecting” activities both independently and in tandem with Client Advisor partnership.
  • Proactively initiate conversations with clients throughout the boutique to understand their interests, lifestyle, and specific needs, tailoring experiences accordingly to properly guide their in-store journey.
  • Seamlessly introduce clients to Client Advisors, communicating relevant preferences and insights to support personalized and elevated service.
  • Support in line management, appointments, and client flow while ensuring the comfort, safety, and security of all guests.
  • Graciously address client concerns or issues with empathy and professionalism, escalating to management when additional support is required.
  • Identify client experience, product knowledge, and storytelling opportunities on the sales floor and translate them into focused coaching priorities to elevate execution and consistency in partnership with store leadership.
  • Partner with Store Leadership and Retail Excellence teams to reinforce storytelling standards, strengthen service delivery, and create impactful on-the-floor learning moments.
  • Support a continuous coaching culture by contributing to feedback cycles, in-store training activations, and dedicating meaningful time to team development and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain exceptional product and aftersales care knowledge across all categories and confidently communicate seasonal launches, artisanal techniques, and Maison initiatives.
  • Support the planning and execution of boutique events, VIC activations, and special experiences, ensuring every detail is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Reflect and share insights with Store Leadership regarding opportunities to optimize the client journey, hospitality experience, and storytelling execution within the boutique.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Maison at all times, fostering an environment of warmth, curiosity, and excellence for both clients and colleagues.
Profile
  • Passion for luxury, hospitality, storytelling, with a strong appreciation for craftsmanship, heritage and Retail Excellence space.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage clients and build authentic relationships.
  • Strong coaching and collaboration skills with the ability to influence teams through example.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced luxury environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
