Position: Usher, Part-Time

Department: Guest Experience Role Overview: Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) serves three primary roles: it is the world’s leading presenter of superb artistic programming, is a national leader in arts education and community relations, and functions as the manager of the Lincoln Center campus, which is home to 11 separate resident organizations. LCPA presents over 350 performances annually throughout our different performance series.

Ushers are members of the Guest Experience staff, who are the welcoming faces of Lincoln Center. They greet and assist guests at events and performances in David Geffen Hall and Alice Tully Hall. In addition to greeting, handing out programs, assisting guests with seating and general way finding, they attend to guest needs in the halls and other performance areas. It is important they always model Lincoln Center’s three Guest Experience Principles:

Ushers are paid $83.90 per call. The position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (“CBA”) between Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc., and Local 306 IATSE. Employees are required to join the union. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to Lincoln Center’s policies and the CBA.

What you’ll get to do here:

  • Greet guests attending events presented at LCPA-managed venues.
  • Distribute event materials to guests as needed.
  • Provide accurate information about an event or venue upon request, including directions within and outside of the halls, and other venues or attractions on campus.
