GENERAL
SUMMARY:
Provides professional dental services at The Alice Hyde Medical Center;
Performs related duties as required.
Position Specific Contributions:
Provideshigh quality care to patients in the Dental Clinic as set forth in the scopeof services consistent with the standards set by JCAHO, NYSDOH, and guidelines established by Alice Hyde Medical Center.
Provides accurate and timely documentation to ensure corporate compliance and timely billing of claims.
Possessan understanding of the unique physiological, emotional, and cognitivecharacteristics of the different developmental stages in the care of each patient.
Possessthorough knowledge of principles and practices of modern dentistry and prevention of dental diseases.
Familiar with reporting risk management issues to the Director.
Maintainscontinuing medical educations requirements according to the Alice Hyde Medical Staff bylaws.
Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Assists Director with comprehensive review on all patient/family complaints and appropriate follow-up with employees.
Maintains professional knowledge base, through participation of continuing education.
Commitmenttoward improving patient care, customer satisfaction and exceeding customer expectations.
Is flexible and creative in dealing with challenges and changes, for patients,co-workers and the health care delivery.
Other duties as assigned.
Compensation Ranges: $230,000 - $255,000 (subject to change)
