Location: New York
RDG is expanding our College & University market in the Northeast Region and we’re looking for a market leader with a focus on project management, client relationships and business development to join our team. This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong network in the Northeast, a passion for higher education design and the ability to manage teams and projects at a strategic level.
In this role, you’ll spearhead marketing and business development efforts for RDG’s College & University market in the Northeast, forging strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Serve as the regional higher education market leader, establishing and maintaining strong client relationships across New York and the Northeast region
- Oversee project management efforts, ensuring quality, efficiency and strategic alignment with institutional goals
- Lead business development initiatives, identifying opportunities and collaborating with RDG’s marketing team to pursue new work
- Work closely with RDG’s College & University team to develop long-term market strategies
- Mentor and support staff in professional development and project execution
- Possess strong leadership, written and verbal skills to instill confidence and trust in our clients and staff
- Serve as a resource for our New York office, helping to grow RDG's brand and market share
- Critical thinking collaborator with excellent soft skills, relationship and executing strengths
- Sound design communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated history of building long‑term relationships with team members and clients
- 15+ years of architectural experience, including leadership in higher education design
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects successfully
- Established relationships with colleges and universities in the Northeast
- Entrepreneurial mindset—someone eager to grow RDG’s presence and impact in the region
- Licensed architect in New York (or ability to obtain licensure)
