Dental Assistant

Base pay range

$22.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Monday through Friday 7:30 am‑4:30 pm or 8 am‑5 pm. Occasionally one evening until 7 pm may be required or 1‑2 Saturdays a month from 8 – 3 pm.

• Provides excellent chair‑side clinical support and assistance to doctors and hygienists which includes but is not limited to charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X‑ray, and other required certifications and registrations.

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on‑the‑job training.
• 1‑5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
• Radiography/X‑ray certification for respective state.
• CPR certification required.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
