Position Title Registered Dental Hygienist, School of Dental Medicine

The School of Dental Medicine is seeking a full time Registered Dental Hygienist. UB Dental is a vital part of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. As a teaching facility, we offer our dental students the opportunity to work closely with patients of all ages. In addition, we are a safety net for the Buffalo-Niagara region, providing dental care for thousands of people each year throughout the community.

Job responsibilities include:

• Perform preventive and therapeutic treatment and instruction of General Dentistry patients in oral self-care techniques
• Deliver appropriate, efficient and effective patient-centered treatment on average of 6 to 10 patients per day
• Recognize the need for further professional consultation and possible referral
• Instruct and demonstrate clinical procedures to students

Work Hours:
Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

• New York State Registered Dental Hygienist

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers ( BLS )
• Excellent communication skills, experience working with diverse populations.
• At least five years of experience
• Experience with hybrids and implants

Physical Demands

Salary Range

Salary Range $48,750 – $60,000

Additional Salary Information

Additional Salary Information $4,000 geographic pay differential in addition to your base salary
