Healthcare Consultant
1. Promote a safe, cooperative, and professional healthcare environment to ensure optimal patient care (as per HR Policy 113c).
2. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, including but not limited to absenteeism, ETIME, cellular telephone usage, dress code, and rules of conduct.
3. Make Customer Service a priority by treating customers (patients, visitors, and co-workers) professionally, exercising courtesy and tact. Communicate effectively with patients and others about SBH services within your area of expertise or responsibility, ensuring concerns, questions, or issues reach the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
4. Demonstrate standards of performance and behaviors aligned with the DRIVE to Patient-Centered Excellence.
5. Responsible for meeting all accreditation requirements set by CODA.
6. Develop monthly clinical and didactic schedules for GPR residents.
7. Complete CERP application for the Department of Dentistry.
8. Monitor care of clinic patients of all ages.
9. Develop programs of interest and need for the Residents.
10. Develop protocols related to GP residents in outpatient and inpatient settings.
11. Collaborate with section chiefs and the chair to promote a unified approach to Department operations and protocols.
12. Participate in clinic staff meetings with residents and auxiliaries to enhance communication.
13. Participate in staff recruitment.
14. Responsible for the recruitment of GPR Residents.
15. Lead clinic QA projects with residents and work towards operationalizing successful initiatives.
16. Participate in Department and hospital-wide committees.
Requirements- Education Required – DDS or DMD
- License(s) Required – NYS Dental License
- Experience/Skills Required – Experience working in a GPR Program, knowledge of all CODA requirements, strong teamwork skills, openness to innovation, excellent administrative and teaching abilities, knowledge of QA/QI and systems development.
