Location: New York
We are seeking a qualified General Dentist with orthodontic experience to join our team and help provide exceptional patient care. We are looking for a well experienced orthodontist who possesses comprehensive knowledge of orthodontic treatment including diagnosis, treatment planning and appliance placement and adjustment and has the ability to work effectively with a dental team for our 5+ practices in Brooklyn and Queens.
We are seeking a motivated individual who is well detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively with other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Salary: ranging from up to $400,000 annually
Key Responsibilities- Perform general dental procedures including cleanings, fillings, crowns, and preventive care, while utilizing orthodontic skills to assess and create treatment plans for patients requiring braces or other orthodontic appliances.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthodontic cases, including designing and adjusting braces and aligners, and monitor patient progress throughout the course of treatment.
- Skilled in managing patient comfort, including sedation and anesthesia techniques when necessary
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-surgical care, and orthodontic maintenance, providing clear instructions for successful treatment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records, document treatments and progress, and collaborate with specialists as needed for complex cases.
- Participating in continuing education to stay current with the latest orthodontic techniques and technology
- Coordinating with the treatment coordinator to ensure efficient scheduling and follow-up care
- Maintaining communication with referring dentists and other healthcare providers
- Proficiency in using orthodontic appliances, including braces, clear aligners, and retainers
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- DDS or DMD and Completion of an Accredited Orthodontic Residency Program
- Expertise in orthodontic treatment planning and execution
- Proficiency in using orthodontic appliances, including braces, clear aligners, and retainers
- Experience with Various Orthodontic Technologies and Appliances
- Orthodontic Treatment Planning
