Dental Hygienist | National Dental Upper East Side

National Dental Upper East Side is part of United Dental Corporation (UDC), a growing dental partnership organization that supports established practices while allowing them to maintain their local identity and patient-focused approach. As a member of the National Dental team, you’ll have the feel and relationships of an established local practice with the additional resources, benefits, and support of a larger dental organization.

We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Upper East Side practice. We’re looking for a patient-focused hygienist who values quality care, strong clinical standards, and the ability to build lasting relationships with patients.

Our hygiene team works with a single-column schedule with 60-minute recall and prophy appointments, allowing our hygienists the time needed to provide thorough, individualized care.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide comprehensive preventive dental care, including prophylaxis and periodontal therapy
  • Perform periodontal charting and oral health assessments
  • Take digital radiographs as needed
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and recommended treatment
  • Identify areas of concern and communicate findings with the treating dentist
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Follow established infection-control and clinical protocols
  • Work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, and the front-office team
  • Create a comfortable, positive experience for patients
  • Active Dental Hygiene License in New York
  • Local Anesthesia Certification (if applicable by state)
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • Strong communication and patient education skills
  • Commitment to quality patient care
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred
  • Laser Certification
  • Experience with assisted hygiene models
  • Experience in PPO, Fee-for-Service, and/or Medicaid environments
  • Experience with periodontal therapy
  • Experience with patient education and treatment acceptance
  • Bilingual skills
