Design Director – Hospitality, Residential & Mixed‑Use

A leading multidisciplinary design studio is seeking a Design Director to drive creative strategy and lead client engagements across diverse sectors such as hospitality, residential, and mixed‑use environments. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced design leader to shape project direction, mentor teams, and collaborate with global partners while contributing to the studio’s creative impact and industry reputation.
Key Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in interior design, architecture, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional design teams and manage projects from concept to completion.
- Strong client engagement skills with a track record of building lasting relationships.
- Proficient in project planning, scoping, proposal development, and presentations.
- In‑depth knowledge of design trends, market positioning, and innovation.
- Experience working across multiple locations and with senior stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with strong leadership, emotional intelligence, and communication skills.
- Ability to represent the studio’s values and maintain high creative and operational standards.
- Lead client meetings and presentations, defining project scope, timelines, budgets, and goals.
- Oversee project execution to ensure design quality, timely delivery, and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and guide design teams, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented studio culture.
- Partner with senior leadership to align creative direction with business objectives.
- Manage client relationships and resolve challenges with strategic, design‑led solutions.
- Conduct market and trend research to inform project strategies.
- Represent the studio at industry events and contribute to brand visibility.
- Support team operations, including resource planning, morale, and retention – ensure healthy project team operations, from workforce planning to morale and retention.
