We are representing a leading architectural practice seeking a Project Architect to join its dynamic Orlando studio. The ideal candidate is a licensed architect who can take projects from concept through construction, ensuring design excellence, technical accuracy, and smooth project delivery. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity offering strong mentorship, visibility, and a pathway to future leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Lead or support design, construction documentation, permitting, bidding, and construction administration for commercial, retail, and mixed-use projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external disciplines (mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, interiors) to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Oversee and review construction documents, specifications, and project deliverables to maintain quality and consistency with firm standards.
- Participate in client meetings, design presentations, and public hearings as needed.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and scope, ensuring milestones and quality benchmarks are met.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior architects, technicians, and coordinators.
- Support project managers in estimating, bidding, and construction-phase services, including RFI responses, shop drawing review, and field observations.
- Contribute to business development and proposal preparation by supporting marketing and pursuit efforts.
- Bachelor of Architecture required;
Master’s in Architecture preferred. - Registered Architect (RA) in Florida or eligible for reciprocity.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in a professional architectural setting; experience leading medium to large-scale projects preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of building systems, construction methods, cost implications, and model codes.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and construction documentation workflows.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills with the ability to mentor others.
- Demonstrated success managing projects thoroughly, accurately, on time, and within budget.
