Intermediate - Senior Architect – Retail Design

We are seeking a seasoned a high intermediate to senior Architect with deep expertise in retail design to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative design environment, leads with clarity and creativity, and brings strong technical and conceptual skills to fast paced projects.

• Lead architectural design for retail and mixed–use projects from concept through construction administration
• Develop compelling design narratives, presentation materials, and detailed drawing packages
• Oversee project workflows, schedules, and consultant coordination
• Mentor junior designers and architects as required
• Ensure all work adheres to applicable codes, permitting requirements, and project budgets
• Collaborate closely with clients, fabricators, and internal team members to bring concepts to life
• Conduct site visits, field surveys, and construction observations as needed

• Professional degree in Architecture
• 8 plus years of production, post graduate NY experience with a strong background in retail design
• Proven ability to develop design concepts that marry brand, function, and customer experience
• Strong technical skills including detailing, building systems, and construction documentation
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, etc
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Licensure is not required

Someone who is design driven, organized, and comfortable leading both the creative and technical sides of a project. A strong visual sensibility and a deep understanding of how retail environments shape customer behavior are essential.
