Location: New York City (3 days onsite in a week)

Job DescriptionHigh End Architectural firm is seeking an advanced-level Project Manager with a minimum of 12 years of experience in high-end classical residential design to join our team.
Responsibilities- Overall and day-to-day management of one or more firm projects at a time.
- Working closely with a Studio Director and the Partner(s) in the development of a project’s design and detailing.
- Developing conceptual sketches.
- Creating or delegating presentation work for the project.
- Leading the technical and design development of a project.
- Prioritizing, delegating and coordinating all tasks with the Project Team members.
- Overseeing the preparation of the construction documents and specifications.
- Insuring all logs and records necessary to manage project(s) are maintained.
- Scheduling, budgeting and work assignments of the Project Team.
- Reviewing the hours of team members for accuracy of project task designations on time sheets (to facilitate billing), and overseeing billing for your project(s).
- Assessing and assuring project success by meeting weekly and monthly schedule and fee budget targets.
- Assisting the Studio Director in preparing the monthly fee analysis for the projects to be presented each month at the fee analysis meetings.
- Principal contact at the firm for his or her project(s). (On occasion, specific project conditions may require the Partner to be the Owner’s primary contact).
- Overseeing project communications with the Project Team, Consultants, Contractor, and the Owner / Owner’s Representative.
- Checking in with junior staff on their respective IDP process and assisting them whenever practical in their process of acquiring a broad range of project task experiences in order to complete their IDP requirements.
- Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes & construction document production is required.
- Applicants must be proficient in AutoCAD and hand sketching.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree from an accredited School of Architecture is required.
- Verbal and written communication skills must be Excellent.
- Proficiency with Sketchup is desired.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign) is desired.
- Proficiency using Bluebeam is desired.
- Experience with classical traditional high-end residential projects is required.
