Seeking skilled Project Architect to spearhead design through construction for all high-end residential projects for an acclaimed boutique architectural & interiors studio. Individual will work directly with the principal and the design team of three to manage and oversee all aspects of several projects from concept through installation.
Ideal candidate for this position should be highly organized & motivated to lead multiple projects at all stages. Excellent verbal and graphic communication skills are required to delegate and oversee other designers & architects, lead communication with clients, and oversee management of contractors, mill workers, upholsterers, and various other vendors. Must be a proactive leader who can anticipate issues and troubleshoot against them delivering successful projects.
Neal Beckstedt Studio is an acclaimed design office with a quality project list and discerning clients. The studio offers full design services overseeing architecture, interior design, & landscape design for ground up and renovations across the USA. Neal is known for blending modern and traditional design languages by integrating antiques and vintage for a uniquely American style.
Experience Requirements- 6 years minimum of architectural-related experience, which a focus on high-end residential
- Previous work in CT and ability to work from New Canaan is preferred
- Exceptional project management skills with a high attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Concise yet thorough communication skills dealing with principal, clients, contractors, consultants, and vendors
- Work alongside Principal and leads project by preparing architectural drawings, renderings, presentations and construction documents
- Ability to create building permit filing sets and detailed construction documents
- Prepare specifications and schedules
- Experience with NYC building and ADA codes
- Review and respond to submittals, RFI’s and shop drawings
- Review work to ensure accuracy, quality and design conformance
- Manage time and tasks to ensure project deliverables are met
- Delegate and manage work flow with in-house design team
- Ability to achieve tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and commitment to excellence
- Exceptional skills in Studio Designer/IT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Be a U.S. citizen or already possess a work visa for working in the U.S. on a full-time basis
