Position SummaryAs Design Director of Intimate Apparel, you will create designs exclusively for Private Brands and develop trend strategies supporting the Walmart Apparel Strategic Business Unit (SBU) merchandising goals. You will ensure Walmart’s private brand DNA, trends, aesthetic, quality, and value meet customer needs and lead the market. You’ll set the brand’s seasonal fashion direction and align it with broader Walmart strategies, working closely with merchant leadership.

- Brand Execution
:
Oversee all aspects of the brand—brand management, design, merchandising analytics, and storytelling. Lead design vision, ensuring consistency on floor and online, and decide on aesthetic, silhouettes, and fabrics. - Merchandising Differentiation & Competitive Advantage
:
Understand competitive landscape of the brand portfolio, develop strategies, adapt to ever‑changing omni‑retail environment, and increase Walmart's market and customer share. - Partnership with Leaders
:
Partner with senior leaders to align brand collections and strategy with other business unit strategies (operations, replenishment, marketing). - Transformative Talent Development
:
Work with People Partner to develop a talent strategy, identify skills and competencies, and foster high‑performance culture. - Brand Customer Experience & Shopping Habits
:

Minimum Qualifications- Option 1:
Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, textile design, or related area and 8 years’ experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area. - Option 2: 10 years’ experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area.
- 5 years’ supervisory experience.
- Experience driving brand identity and innovation.
- Proven ability to build and scale design teams.
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence product strategy.
